The festival will be spread on 2 days with 3 sessions: the opening night, the solo preliminaries and the final evening.
The best males and females dancers and the ORI TAHITI group from 10 different nationalities , they will perform on stage in front of 2 000 visitors.
The coming of the dancers from France, Spain, Mexico, USA, Japan (…) give to this European Heiva festival an international recognition that promises a show rich in sensitivity.
The 5 prestigious jury from Tahiti are Manouche Lehartel (President of the Tahitian Federation of ORI TAHITI, she was several times the jury for the Heiva i Tahiti), Tumata Robinson (troop leader of TAHITI ORA, winner of the Heiva i Tahiti 2011 and 2014), Moena Maiotui (best female dancer of the Heiva i Tahiti 2011), Tuari Tracqui (best male dancer of the Heiva i Tahiti 2012) and finally Joëlle Berg (recognized for her Workshops in Europe, north America, Asia).
The winners of the 3 most famous categories (ORI VAHINE SOLO, ORI TANE SOLO, MEHURA) will have a plane ticket Paris-Papeete attributed to participate to the Ori Tahiti Nui Solo Competition in Papeete !
Some other prises will be offered by our partners to the winners and the finalists of all the categories.
Inscription started from 07th April 2015 to 02nd September 2015 at midnight.
Inscription fees for pour contestants are as following :
1 categorie : 30 euros
2 categories : 35 euros
3 categories : 40 euros
4 categories : 45 euros
A maximum of 4 categories is aloud for each competitor.
Minimum age for the competition 15 yo (with parents autorisation)
6 categories :
– ORI VAHINE SOLO (best dancer solo Otea)
– APARIMA VAHINE SOLO (best dancer solo Aparima)
– ORI TANE SOLO (best dancer solo man)
– ORI TOA (best dancer “warrior”/Haka solo or up to 4)
– DUO (best couple M/F)
– MEHURA (best group of 5 dancers M/F or Mixt)
